EU Twinning projects in Ukraine

In 2010–2016 Lithuania individually or as a partner of a consortium has been selected to implement 10 EU Twinning projects in Ukraine:

  • 2010 France / Lithuania (Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania) „Increased effectiveness and management capacities of Administrative Courts in Ukraine“;
  • 2013 Netherlands / Germany / Lithuania (Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania, National Land Service under the Ministry of Agriculture )  „Assistance in Development of open and transparent agricultural land market in Ukraine“;
  • 2014 Poland / Germany / Lithuania (Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, State Road Transport Inspectorate) „Support to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine in Strengthening of Safety Standards of Commercial Road Transport“;
  • 2015 Germany / Poland / Lithuania (Customs Department) „Support to State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine in reinforcing Integrated Border Management elements in the area of customs matters“;
  • 2015 Lithuania (National Food and Veterinary Service and National Institute for Risk Assessment of Food and Veterinary) / Italy  „Assistance with implementation of SPS (sanitary and phytosanitary measures) commitments under the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement“;
  • 2015 Germany / Lithuania (Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania) "Strengthening institutional capacities of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to conduct market studies and effectively enforce competition law in accordance with EU standards";
  • 2016 Germany / Lithuania (State Border Guard Service under the Ministry of the Interior, Board for the management of border control) / Poland  „Support to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in further development IBM approaches for travel document verification and stolen motor vehicles detection“;
  • 2016 Spain / Lithuania (Lithuanian State Railway Inspectorate under the Ministry of Transport and Communications) "Support to the Ministry of Infrastructure in Establishing Conditions for Application of the European Model of Rail Transport Service Market in Ukraine'';
  • 2016 Lithuania (Lithuanian Law Institute, Seimas Ombudsmen‘s office of the Republic of Lithuania, Office of the Equal Opportunities Ombudsperson, State Data Protection Inspectorate and Vilnius University Law Faculty) / Austria „Implementation of the best European practices with the aim of strengthening the institutional capacity of the Apparatus of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights to protect human rights and freedoms“;
  • 2016 Latvia / Germany / Lithuania (State Plant Service under the Ministry of Agriculture) "Approximation of Ukrainian legislation with the EU in the field of plant protection products and plant health and strengthening associated inspection and laboratory services".
