The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania has allocated EUR 55, 000 for humanitarian aid in Ukraine, of which EUR 20, 000 will be transferred to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and EUR 35, 000 to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania allocated €20 000 in humanitarian aid for Palestinian refugees. The contribution will be transferred to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
On January 31, Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting to examine project concepts and applications presented for funding in 2018 in the framework of the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania allocated EUR 15 thousand in humanitarian aid to Yemen and Syria each and EUR 10 thousand to Albania.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania has allocated EUR 50,000 in humanitarian aid to Ukraine. EUR 25,000 in humanitarian assistance to help Ukraine will be transferred to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and another EUR 25,000 will be channelled through the International Organization for Migration.
The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania held a preparatory meeting of the Vilnius Forum on 24-25 October, where delegations from the Constitutional Courts of Lithuania, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine discussed the role of constitutional courts in ensuring the supremacy of the law.
