GirlsGoIT Bootcamp started in Moldova
On 13 May, the GirlsGoIT Bootcamp under the project “GirlsGoIT – a platform for girls and young women economic empowerment” started in Bender (Moldova). Bootcamp's goal is to encourage girls from Moldovan regions to use IT technologies and is an integral part of the GirlsGoIT program, implemented by the Association for the Development of Information Technologies EDUCAT. The program runs from May to June 2018 (5 weeks), focusing on web development. Once a week the participants will meet and have sessions on web-development front-end guided by the mentors. In the end, each participant will be able to develop a personal web application. 9 girls aged between 15 and 20 years old have chosen to participate to experience STEM trainings.
The project GirlsGoIT intends to empower young women and girls in Moldova in and through technologies. The project is partly financed by the funds of the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
