EU Twinning projects in Moldova

In 2010 - 2018 Lithuania individually or as a partner of a consortium has been selected to implement 10 EU Twinning projects in Moldova.

  • 2018: Enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system (budget – EUR 1,3 million; duration – 24/27 months; beginning – 1st quarter 2019)
    Implementing parties: Finland/Estonia/Lithuania (Research and Higher Education Monitoring and Analysis Centre);
     
  • 2018: Enhancing the system of prevention and combating money laundering and terrorism financing in the Republic of Moldova (budget – EUR 2 million; duration – 36/39 months; beginning – September 2018)
    Implementing parties: Lithuania (Financial Crime Investigation Service; Prosecutor General‘s Office; Bank of Lithuania; Supreme Court of Lithuania; State Tax Inspectorate)/Poland/Germany;
     
  • 2018: Support to the reform of the initial and continuous training centre of the Police System  (budget – EUR 2 million; duration – 30/33 months; beginning – July 2018)

  • 2017: Support to the modernisation of Customs Service of Moldova in line with AA requirements (budget – EUR 1 million; duration – 24/27 months; beginning – October 2017)

  • 2017: Support to the strengthening of the operational capacities of the Law Enforcement Agencies of the Republic of Moldova in the field of prevention and investigation of criminal acts of corruption (budget – EUR 1 million; duration – 24/27 months; beginning – September 2017)

  • 2016: Support to the National Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Moldova (budget – EUR 2 million; duration – 24 months; beginning – January 2017)

  • 2016: Strengthening of the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Moldova as regulatory agency in the field of medicines, medical devices and pharmaceutical activity (budget – EUR 1 million; duration – 24 months; implemented in 2016-2018)

  • 2014: Support to the Civil Service Modernisation in the Republic of Moldova in line with EU best practices (budget – EUR 1,3 million; duration – 24 months; implemented in 2015-2016)

  • 2010: Support to the Main State Inspectorate for Market Surveillance, Metrology and Consumer Protection (budget – EUR 1 million; duration – 21 months; implemented in 2013-2014)
